Umbra

Umbra is a 2D Pixel Art Puzzle Platformer with a dark aesthetic. You assume the role of a lost, shadow magic imbued hero, Nyx, who can shift to a shadow and wield the powers of the dark. After some unknown catastrophic event imbues the once vibrant kingdom of Lumosity with a symbiotic, living darkness, the world and its inhabitant are transformed into Husks. The now gloomy, dark atmosphere envelops and empowers you as you use the shadows to your advantage to climb, jump, and fight your way through the now fragmented land to uncover what happened to your home.

  • Use your newfound abilities to platform through the map to progress to the next levels and find lore tabs revealing what happened 
• You become stronger/weaker depending on the environment you stand on 
  • Umbral, Penumbral, and Light surfaces 
  • Can become a shadow pool that can climb, jump, and zip through dark surfaces 
• Explore the fallen world where the light is fading
  • Solve puzzles, traverse obstacles, and fight enemies to progress through levels
  • Light rays impeded your moment and block your path
• Those who remain in this world are out to get you
  • Fight off using two attacks: melee slashes and ranged blasts
